KEY ProgramKnowledge Empowering You
The KEY (Knowledge Empowering You) Outreach Program utilizes Texas Tech University Personal Financial Planning students to provide educational outreach to the Lubbock community. KEY Outreach Program students have the training necessary to deliver non-biased financial education. The KEY Outreach Program partners with other organizations and groups in the community to provide presentations on the topic areas of cash, credit, coverage, college, and career.
KEY Financial CoachingOne-on-One Sessions for Your Financial Goals
KEY offers free in-person and virtual financial coaching sessions to help individuals take control of their financial lives. Sessions are available on the following topics:
- Financial goal setting
- Budgeting
- Opening a bank account
- Payday loans
- Credit report, score, and repair
Group PresentationsFree Financial Education for Your Organization
KEY offers free financial education presentations to the Texas Tech campus and Lubbock community. Our team is happy to schedule a presentation on one or more of the following topics:

- Savings
- Identity theft
- Understanding borrowing
- Credit 101

Jesse B. Jurgenson, Ph.D., AFC®
Director
Dr. Jurgenson is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Texas Tech University
School of Financial Planning and Director of the Charles Schwab Foundation Personal
Financial Planning Clinic. With a professional background in nonprofit financial counseling,
Cooperative Extension Service, and financial education, he is passionate about positively
impacting the financial well-being of the Lubbock community through university outreach
and engagement.
