Thank you for your interest in the IGCAST! Dr. Luis Herrera-Estrella, IGCAST Director, internationally recognized plant biologist and fellow of the National Academy of Sciences, leads the IGCAST team by inspiring, promoting and supporting a diverse group of talented, young scientists. IGCAST research incorporates a multi-disciplinary, collaborative approach across TTU departments, colleges and research centers, as well as with multiple private industry and academic partners throughout the US and internationally. Our faculty is dedicated to being leaders in plant genomics research. Below, you will find information on the process of joining our team as a student. Step one:

Contact the faculty member you are interested in working with, send them your CV, letter of intent and three letters of reference. You can find contact information and research interests about each of our faculty on our Staff Bio Pages.

Step two:

Once you have reached an agreement with the faculty member, you will need to apply to the Graduate School for admission.

GRE and TOEFL scores will be considered on a case by case basis.

Deadlines:

Apply by May to start in the Fall Semester; apply by November to start in the Spring Semester.
