Chien Ha news

Chien Ha, an international expert in biotechnology, has been named a research assistant professor within Texas Tech University's Department of Plant & Soil Science, according to officials within the Davis College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources. He officially steps into his new research post on May 1.

Lois Nwoko got third place at the 2023 Plant & Soil Science Student Research Symposium with her research “An improved method for protoplast isolation and gene-editing from soybean root, callus, and transgenic hairy-roots.” Congratulations!

 

Student Research Symposium

On April 19, the 2023 Plant & Soil Science Student Research Symposium was held with the participation of IGCAST members in the poster session and oral presentation.

This annual symposium provides an invaluable opportunity for students at all stages of their programs to present their research and receive feedback from peers, faculty, staff, and external experts.

The past February 11th, 2023, IGCAST joined the commemoration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. At the Institute there are many women working to contribute to understanding abiotic stress. Meet them!
