Tran Lab
Research Subjects: Studying the roles of signaling molecules and their interactions in plant responses to environmental stresses, as well as translational genomics aiming to enhance crop productivity under adverse environmental stress conditions.
Research Assistant Professor/ Lab Manager

Chien Ha
Research Focus: Lead projects involving evaluation of abiotic stress – drought, salt,
cold, and heat, high CO2 – tolerance, and yield potential of Arabidopsis, cotton,
sorghum, soybean, common bean, and corn in greenhouse and field conditions. The primary
goal is to develop stress resilient sorghum and cotton by the use of signaling molecules
and genetic engineering.

Research Focus: Assessing the potential roles of Zn supplements (bulk ZnO, ZnSO4,
and ZnO-NPs) for improving cotton drought tolerance and identifying the associated
physiological, biochemical, and molecular mechanisms
