In 2016, Texas Tech University was recognized by Military Times as #23 in "Best for Vets: Business Schools 2016". Texas Tech was first recognized in this award category in 2014.The award has not been awarded by Military Times in several years now.

Texas Tech University received 2 grants from the Aurora Foundation to provided training and education for the faculty and staff of the Texas Tech University System.
