Military & Veteran Programs connects Texas Tech veterans, service members and military-connected students with scholarship opportunities, career development and academic resources that can support success during college and beyond graduation.

MVP Scholarships

Scholarships are available for eligible Texas Tech veterans, service members and military family members. Awards vary based on available funding and individual scholarship requirements.

Students should complete the Texas Tech scholarship application to be considered for available university and MVP scholarship opportunities.

Application Deadlines

  • Incoming first-year students: Feb. 1
  • Current Texas Tech students: Feb. 1
  • Transfer students: March 1

  • Steve Morin Jr. Memorial Scholarship

  • Major Troy Gilbert Memorial Scholarship
  • Captain Joseph Alan Pryor Endowed Scholarship

Eligibility requirements vary by scholarship and may include military status, dependent status, enrollment, academic standing, major or other criteria.

Texas Tech Scholarships

Camo to Corporate

Camo to Corporate helps student veterans prepare for the transition from college into the professional workforce. The program combines individualized career preparation with professional development activities and resources available through Texas Tech.

Participants work with the University Career Center to strengthen job-search skills and prepare for employment after graduation.

  • Professional attire fitting
  • Professional photo session

Eligibility

Eligibility and application requirements may vary by program year. Camo to Corporate is intended for Texas Tech student veterans preparing to graduate and transition into professional employment.

Current application dates and requirements will be posted as they become available.

University Career Center

Career & Professional Development

Texas Tech provides career resources that can help military-connected students translate military experience into civilian career skills, prepare application materials, explore occupations and connect with employers. The University Career Center provides individual career advising, career assessments and assistance with exploring career paths related to a student's education and experience.

Academic Support

Military-connected students have access to academic support services available to Texas Tech students, including tutoring, supplemental instruction, academic coaching and advising.

Learning Center

The Learning Center provides tutoring and academic support for a variety of undergraduate courses.

Students should work with their academic advisor for degree planning, course selection and questions about academic progress.

Veteran Liaisons

Veteran liaisons help connect military-connected students with resources and support within colleges and departments across Texas Tech.

Liaisons can serve as an additional point of contact for questions related to academic programs, college processes and the transition to university life.

GI Bill®, Hazlewood Act and other military education benefits are administered through Student Business Services. Students should use the Student Business Services military benefits resources for current requirements, forms and instructions.
