Dr. Yuanlin Zhang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Texas Tech University. He joined Texas Tech in 2004 after he earned his PhD in Computer Science from National University of Singapore. Dr. Zhang's research interests are in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Health Care and the integration of Computing with STEM education in K-12.

Dr. Zhang has received NSF grants on designing tools for building intelligent systems and on hosting an REU site on the Logic Programming and its applications to the building of intelligent systems, Energy, Security and Health Care. His current research projects focus on the study of the foundation of building intelligent systems, its application to health care problems and the integration of Logic Programming (a tool for building intelligent systems) into the teaching and learning of Computing and STEM in K-12.
