CREW Peer Mentoring
Build Community, Resources, Engagement & Wellness (CREW) through STEM COREs peer
mentoring network! The STEM CORE CREW empowers undergraduate researchers by pairing
first- and second-year undergraduate students with experienced peer mentors.
Approximately 25 peer mentors work with 2–3 mentees. Mentees apply through an open
application process and are matched based on research interests, academic needs, or
major/college affiliation. Through structured guidance, academic support, and community-building,
the program fosters student belonging, research literacy, and sustained engagement
in undergraduate research.
