Texas Tech University

Transfer Meetups

Transfer Meetups are designed to help you connect with others who understand the unique challenges and opportunities of starting fresh at a new college. They offer a fun, low-pressure way to meet fellow transfer students, share experiences, and build a sense of community. Whether you're looking for new friends, campus tips, or just a familiar face in the crowd, these Meetups make it easier to feel at home and make the most of your time at Texas Tech.

We are still working on these and gathering the best possible options for you this fall - we rely on our campus partners and local businesses to choose these events! Stay tuned for more info!

Carol of Lights

At the Statue of Will Rogers and Soapsuds*

Carol of Lights at Texas Tech University is an annual tradition that marks the beginning of the holiday season. It features the ceremonial lighting of over 25,000 red, orange, and white lights that illuminate campus. The celebration includes caroling, a torchlight processional, and a community-wide gathering of students, alumni, and residents. Carol of Lights embodies school spirit, and we will meet to attend together, then grab hot chocolate at a local shop! *We will leave our initial meetup location, so it is important that you arrive on time.
