Program Information

The Summer Scholarship Program is an opportunity for transfer students to get a head start on their education at Texas Tech University. If selected, we'll provide you with a scholarship for your first course at Texas Tech! A limited number of scholarships are available. 

    1. Complete the Summer Scholarship Program Priority Application. If selected, you'll be notified by the Office of Student Financial Aid & Scholarships.
    2. Attend a Red Raider Orientation (RRO) session prior to June 4, 2019.
    3. Register for a minimum of 6 hours of summer courses. If selected, we'll award you a scholarship for your first summer class!

Scholarship Eligibility & Amount

Incoming transfer students - $1,000

    • Must be admitted for the Summer 2019.
    • TSI compliance required prior to Summer 2019
    • Must be a domestic undergraduate student

Incoming former TTU students - $1,000

    • Must be readmitted for the Summer 2019.
    • Left in good standing
    • Must be a domestic undergraduate student

Discounted Summer Housing

Housing for students wishing to enroll in the summer will be available in the Honors Residence Hall at a discounted rate (50%). Sign-up beginning March 4, 2019 at www.housing.ttu.edu.

    • Summer I - $335 (normal rate - $670)
    • Summer II - $335 (normal rate - $670)
