Welcome to the School of Art
The TTU School of Art is one of the strongest accredited art schools in the country. We provide a wide range of undergraduate and graduate degrees, and ensure that students have the freedom to develop as artists, designers, scholars, and educators. Part of the J. T. & Margaret Talkington College of Visual and Performing Arts, we encourage interdisciplinary learning, and believe that artmaking benefits from a wide variety of academic disciplines. Our programs infuse creative experimentation with intellectual rigor: thinking and making are inseparable. Our award-winning faculty takes education seriously, giving individual attention to each and every student. Faculty pay attention, and listen. Our student body is young, diverse, and hungry. Many of them start their careers early, making challenging art, drawing from history, creating communities, exhibiting – before they graduate.
