The office of Academic Support and Facilities Resources (ASFR) is responsible for the use of academic space (OP 61.23) on the Texas Tech University campus. This includes the scheduling of classrooms and class labs. The office also maintains classrooms capacities by working with other administrative departments to ensure that broken furniture is replaced or that other problems in academic space are remedied.
ASFR trains academic staff members charged with entering data pertaining to department schedules and maintaining the course information for the terms of the academic year. Questions pertaining to classes taught – either on or off campus – can be directed to the office.

Requests for heating or cooling after normal University hours must be submitted to ASFR. Such requests will then be taken to the Facilities Allocation Council for final approval.
University personnel wishing to bring conferences or other special events to the campus should contact ASFR for assistance in reserving rooms or for any additional help that may be needed to ensure the event is a success.
Final Exams
ASFR schedules Final Examinations for every semester. Per university OP34.10 all faculty members must adhere to the printed scheduled time unless granted permission from the departmental chairperson and the dean; only then will ASFR find an alternate location for the final exam.
