Spring Practice Dates Announced

Texas Tech Football will begin preparations for the 2006 season March 21 when it conducts its annual spring drills on the practice fields at the Football Training Facility. In anticipation of the spring practice schedule, the team is currently undergoing an eight-week strength and conditioning period.
The annual Red-Black Game will be played April 14 at 1 p.m. Spring workouts will run on Mondays, Wednesday, Fridays and Saturdays for four weeks beginning March 21 and conclude with a brief workout April 16.
The Texas Tech coaching staff will host its annual coaching clinic March 30-31 in conjunction with practices on both days. For more information on this year’s clinic, contact the football office at (806) 742-4260.
The Red Raiders are coming off an 8-5 season, which was highlighted by Tech’s come-from-behind win over Minnesota in the Insight Bowl, the fourth bowl win under Head Coach Mike Leach. Texas Tech opens the 2007 season Sept. 1 at SMU in Dallas.
