As a Lead Utility Operator in Operations, Lance Brooks identified ways to streamline many of the reports and equipment tracking processes that plant operators complete daily. He updated and improved numerous processes which saved hundreds of employee hours and improved the accuracy of many reports utilized by the Department of Utilities. In addition, Lance programmed data being collected from the plant historian program to be automatically converted. This project has saved the University over $87,000. Lance is someone that others look up to. He is a key team player and is always looking for ways to help Texas Tech function at its best.
