We are pleased to announce that for the very first time, the 2016 NAFSA Texas State
Conference will be held on March 3rd and 4th at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.
The following NAFSA training workshops are scheduled on Thursday:
Health, Safety, and Risk Management in Education Abroad
F-1 Student Advising for Beginners
F-1 Student Advising: Intermediate
J-1 Advising for Beginners
We have a full day of 20 sessions planned on Friday and registrants are coming from
all over the state of Texas as well as Eastern New Mexico to discuss how to better
support and further international education. Ambassador Tibor Nagy will give his "State
of the World," speech at the lunch event Friday.
In addition, the Texas Tech University Office of International Affairs and Academic
Programs International will be sponsoring an Opening Reception Event on March 3rd
at McPherson Cellars Winer.
