Texas Tech University

Testimonials from Faculty and BSMP Students

"I did have a Brazilian student, Saulo Machado, in my heat transfer class this summer. He was one of the best students in the class. Afterwards, he approached me and asked if I would consider working with him in an individual study class, and based on my interaction with him in heat transfer, I agreed. He is working in the Thermal-Fluids Lab making operational a heating ventilation and air conditioning experiment (HVAC), and will then perform an engineering analysis to characterize the performance of that HVAC system."

"My experience with BSMP students revealed that the students are highly educated and well prepared. The students are inquisitive and eager to gain experience working in the laboratory. My students worked well with others and became a valuable team member. Outside of the laboratory, my student was very dedicated to her course work and balanced her responsibilities well."

"My experience at Texas Tech has been amazing. My classes and professors are incredible. I am majoring in Food Science. My adviser was able to arrange an opportunity for research in the animal science lab for me. The laboratory and facilities at Texas Tech are outstanding. The people are nice and helpful as well. I am almost at the end of my program and I can tell this is a year to never be forgotten."

"Studying abroad at Texas Tech University has been one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had in my whole life. The awesome campus with incredible facilities provides a great environment for the students, making it possible for me to have access to all types of technologies and resources that were not available to me before. I was also able to apply what I learned in my computer engineering classes by doing an internship last summer with an IT service provider in Lubbock that specializes in medical and dental practices. This journey during the time I have spent here is definitely going to make a difference in my future."
