Scholarships

Please note: The deadline for incoming student scholarship applications is December 1st and the deadline for returning student scholarship applications is February 1st. Applications must be received by those dates prior to the beginning of the following academic year.

Dr. E.W. Jones Endowed Pre-Medical Scholarship

Established by Mr. and Mrs. Lee C. O'Neil of Lubbock, in memory of Dr. E. W. Jones.

Applicants must have completed at least one semester at Texas Tech, be actively pursuing a premedical course of study, carry Junior or Senior standing, hold at least a 3.5 GPA. Amounts vary annually; renewable annually, by application only.

Margret Stuart Pre-Medical Endowed Scholarship

Established by former premedical students, members of the Premedical Society, and members of the Texas Gamma Chapter of Alpha Epsilon Delta in appreciation of Miss Stuart's service to premedical education at Texas Tech University.

Applicants must have completed at least one semester at Texas Tech, be actively pursuing a premedical course of study, carry Junior or Senior standing, hold at least a 3.5 GPA.

M. Jones Undergraduate Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Established by Mr. and Mrs. Randal Patterson of Odessa, Texas, in memory of Melissa Jones.

For entering or first-year female undergraduates with academic merit who are majoring in an area of biological or chemical science with premedical studies intent. Renewable by application only and if at least a 3.5 GPA is maintained.

R.C. Goodwin Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Established in 1967 by former students and friends to honor the seventh president of then-Texas Technological College, Robert Cabaniss Goodwin, Ph.D.; the originating donors were inspired by and benefited from Dr. Goodwin's service, leadership, and dedication, particularly on behalf of students completing their premedical education at Texas Tech.

Applicants must have completed at least one semester at Texas Tech, be actively pursuing a premedical course of study, carry Junior or Senior standing, hold at least a 3.5  GPA, and demonstrate the character and general qualifications to become a good physician. Financial need may be considered if all other qualifications are met.

Roger C. Camp Pre-Medicine Endowed Scholarship

Established in 2014 by Roger C. Camp, M.D., and his wife Patsy, of Dallas, Texas, with support from from the J.T. and Margaret Talkington Foundation scholarship fund matching program.

Applicants must be an active member of Texas Tech University's Pre-Medical Society, have completed at least one semester at Texas Tech, be actively pursuing a premedical course of study, carry Junior or Senior standing, and hold at least a 3.0 GPA.
