Greenhouse & Garden Photography Policy

 

We love seeing your pictures and seeing you at our gardens and greenhouses! We are, however, a working research and teaching facility, and we need to control traffic through our greenhouses. The garden is always open and available for your use, but photography inside of our greenhouse is available by appointment only. Thanks for your help and understanding!

Cost

There is no charge for using the Horticultural Garden.

Photoshoots inside of the greenhouse are free during normal business hours (by appointment). There is a $40/hr fee to book after-hours or weekend sessions.

Rules and Regulations

1. DO NOT use glitter or confetti in your photoshoots, and pick up any trash you might generate. Our birds and wildlife thank you.
2. The Horticultural Garden is always open and may be used at any time.
3. Greenhouse hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. After-hours and weekends may be booked, depending on availability, at a rate of $40/hr. Reservations *must* be made at least 5 business days in advance.
4. The South hallway and Greenhouse # 2 (entrance from the Southwest side of the main hallway) are available for your use. The other greenhouses in the facility are teaching and research spaces, and are not available for public use.
5. Please DO NOT move, take, or damage any plants. The greenhouse is under video surveillance, and you may be liable for any damage that occurs.
6. Have fun! We are proud of our greenhouse space and our gardens and are excited to share them with you. Please feel free to tag us on Instagram and Facebook in pictures taken in our garden with @texastechgreenhouse, #ttugreenhouse, #ttugardens and #ttuplantandsoilscience

Greenhouse Appointments

Please download, fill out, and return the form below to daniel.mayer@ttu.edu to request a greenhouse photography reservation at least 5 business days in advance. You will be contacted within 2 business days regarding availability at your requested time.

**PLEASE NOTE** Greenhouse use hours during the summer will be limited.
