Bike Registration |

| The Texas Tech Police Department will register your bicycle free of charge. This simple procedure takes about five minutes and can be done at the Texas Tech Police Department Building. When you place the registration sticker on your bicycle it tells a potential thief that the Texas Tech Police has all of the information about the bike on file. This may also assist in its recovery if stolen. | ||

| Fingerprinting | ||
| The Texas Tech Police Department provides fingerprinting for students, staff members, and faculty of Texas Tech University and Texas Tech Health Sciences Center and their dependants at no charge with a valid TTU/HSC ID. A $10 fee is charged to the public. You must provide a valid photo identification prior to having prints taken. The fee will be waived for fingerprinting children under 16 years of age. | ||

| The Texas Tech Police Department is participating in Project ChildSafe. The Texas Tech Police department is giving away free gunlocks. To get your free gunlock, go to the Texas Tech Police Department located at 2901 4th Street. | ||
Project ChildSafe, the nation's largest firearm safety education program, has encouraged millions of gun owners to practice safe and responsible firearm ownership and storage since it began distributing gunlock safety kits. Project ChildSafe partners with governors, lieutenant governors, U.S. Attorneys, mayors and local law enforcement agencies across the country to distribute this massive number of safety kits. |
