ORS Announcements

Register Now: Budget Basics Workshop - April 1st

The Office of Research Services invites you to participate in the workshop for Budget Basics for research proposal preparation. Participants will learn how to begin the proposal budget process, what to include, what not to include, tips and shortcuts, and how to use the MS Excel ORS budget template.

This session will be held this Wednesday, April 1st, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., in Room 151 of the Teaching, Learning, & Professional Development Center (TLPDC) at the University Library.

To register, go to and click on the "SumTotal" link under the header "Shortcuts." Insert your eRaider username and password, then search for the session you are interested in attending, and register. This session is limited to no more than 15 attendees, so register as soon as possible.

Post-update problems with Cayuse SP

We have been experiencing some post-update issues with Cayuse SP since the update this weekend. Most notably, when you try to log in you may get an error message.This can be resolved by clearing your browser's cache (or browsing history) and reopening a new instance of Cayuse.

NSF: Important Information Regarding Automated Compliance Checking of NSF Proposals and Other Policy-Related Changes

On January 26, 2015, the National Science Foundation (NSF) will implement changes in FastLane to support the revised version of the Proposal and Award Policies and Procedures Guide (PAPPG) and to run additional automated compliance checks on proposals.

NIH Announces New Biographical Sketch Format
NIH has announced a new biographical sketch format to be used in all grant applications with due dates on or after January 25, 2015.
