Degree Program Courses
The Master of Agribusiness (MAB) program offers a variety of courses designed to provide students with essential skills and knowledge in agribusiness management, finance, marketing, and policy. Below is a list of core courses offered in the program.
The MAB program consists of a minimum of 36 hours of graduate credit. A candidate for the Master of Agribusiness degree must complete 6 hours of electives from a list of approved courses. Exceptions to the list will need to be approved by the student's advisory committee and the MAB Coordinator.
Except for unusual situations, substitutions for core courses are not permitted. Requests for substitutions for core courses must be initiated by the student and submitted, with written justification, to the MAB Coordinator. Final decisions on substitutions for core courses taught outside our department are made by the MAB Coordinator. Decisions on core courses taught in the department are made by the current instructor of the core course being replaced.

| AAEC 5320 | Agribusiness Law Course focuses on various areas of law that directly affect the operation of agricultural businesses and producers. Course examines nature and source of law, contracts, real estate matters, commercial transactions, business entities, & environmental issues |
| AAEC 5325 | Applied Regression & Least Square Analysis for Agricultural Sciences Application of regression analysis to analyze problems in the agricultural sciences; simple linear and multiple regression models, residual analysis, introduction to time series models |
| BECO 5310 | Economic Analysis for Business Studies markets in which firms compete within the context of a global supply chain, including markets for good and services, financial markets, and labor. Emphasizes how the interactions of these markets affect the formulation and implementation of business strategies. Prerequisite: Admission to M.B.A. program |
| MGT 5371 | Managing Organizational Behavior & Organizational Design Examines management of individual, interpersonal, group and intergroup relations, organizational design, and the organizations role in a rapidly changing environmental and global context |
| MKT 5360 | Marketing Concepts & Strategies Examines marketing functions, the institutions which perform them, and the study of marketing planning, strategy, and tactics. Includes the organization, execution, and control of the marketing effort |

Final Examination
The student's advisory committee will conduct an oral examination after all other requirements for the degree have been completed. MAB students are expected to demonstrate an understanding of agribusiness, marketing, management, and analytical methods covered in their degree program. Further, students should be able to articulate the effectiveness of their internship experience and current career goals.
Prerequisites
Students entering the MAB degree program must have completed an accepted bachelor's degree program or must be students who are pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Applied Economics in our department and have been admitted into the Accelerated B.S./MAB program. Undergraduate requirements that normally will have been completed, earning a grade of B or better, before beginning MAB graduate coursework include the following courses or their equivalent.

AAEC 4302 Regression Analysis
ACCT 2300 and ACCT 2301 Accounting
A student who has not satisfactorily completed the above requirements may be required to do so prior to or during the first semester of the graduate program. This prerequisite coursework will not count toward the MAB degree requirements.
