The inaugural workshop brought together researchers from across the TTU System to foster collaboration and spotlight initiatives.
Innovation Hub at Research Park hosted "Bridging the Gap on Innovation Across the TTU System," the inaugural workshop led by Dr. Stephen Bayne, vice chancellor for Innovation and Collaboration and executive director of the Critical Infrastructure Security Institute. It was designed to close the gap on innovative ideas throughout the Texas Tech University System.
The event brought together faculty, staff, and researchers from Texas Tech University, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Angelo State University, and Midwestern State University.
The workshop highlighted collaborative efforts across the system. Participants toured the Institute of Anatomical Sciences, the National Wind Institute, and the Global Laboratory for Energy Asset Management and Manufacturing.
Featured speakers included Dr. Werner Kuhr and Taysha Williams from the Innovation Hub, Cameron Smith from the Office of Research Commercialization, Carla Holland from the Institute for Small Business, and Anish Quenim from the Alderson and Griffin Center for Family Business.
Dr. Moustaid-Moussa introduced the One Health initiative. Dr. David Bixler and Dr. Dittika Gupta also shared institutional research highlights.
Bridging the Gap sparked meaningful conversations and laid a strong foundation for future cross-institutional efforts.
