CMLL ClassicsScholarships & Awards

This endowed scholarship is awarded in memory of Dr. Howard Perlmutter and Dr. Fotini Perlmutter, and is designated for an undergraduate student majoring in Classics.

The prize will be awarded to the student with the best essay or project on Ancient Greek or Roman Civilization as selected by the Classics faculty.

This scholarship is awarded to a student pursuing a major in Classics with advanced Latin or teaching certification in Latin. Applicants must have a minimum of 3.0 GPA, and participate in Classics programs and activities sponsored by the department. The award amount varies, payable one-half each semester.

This prize of $500 is awarded to an undergraduate major in Classics who is going on an approvedStudyAbroadprogram,asdeterminedby theClassicsFaculty.

This endowment is to fund a scholarship designated for graduate and undergraduate students majoring in Classics and/or Archaeology to undertake archaeological field study or travel to conferences. This scholarship will be awarded to Classics and/or Archaeology students who maintain a high level of distinction in their studies as selected by the Classics faculty.
