Become a Student Advisor

We are hiring two levels of Financial Planning Academy counselors, as detailed below. Please select the position for which you would like to apply. If you are a Texas Tech student, please attach your Summer I schedule if you plan to take classes during the Summer I session. Counselors must work the hours scheduled below if hired for their desired position. Financial Planning Academy counselors must contact FP Academy staff immediately if their selected counselor schedule must be altered in any way.

Full-Time 
Our full-time counselors will be with the campers at all times by helping with camp logistics and serving as mentors for the student teams. These counselors will be our Head Counselors, assisting FP Academy staff in making sure every component of camp is seamless, and every camper is safe. Full-time counselors will stay in the residence hall the week of FP Academy, and all meals, travel arrangements, lodging, and items needed for camp will be provided to them at no charge. Outside of breaks, these positions will be on-duty at all times.  
Total Pay: $1,500 

Part-Time  
Our half-time counselors will support Financial Planning Academy with every detail of camp, including setting up classes and completing the finer logistics of camp support. These counselors will be a vital part of the successful execution of Financial Planning Academy by providing support to the director, assistant director, and full-time counselors.
