Financial Planning Academy

The Financial Planning Academy will be held on campus at The Ohio State University June 26-30, 2023 during the day from 8:00am-5:00pm. Students will stay participate in various on-campus activities. This is an excellent opportunity for students to get a feel for what college life is like at a top Division I university.

The Ohio State University 

The undergraduate financial planning program at Ohio State is housed in the College of Education & Human Ecology and offered in collaboration with the Fisher College of Business. Financial planning fundamentals, family taxes, estate planning, retirement planning, investing, and insurance planning are taught in small class sizes. The practical coursework not only helps graduates land a job in the vibrant financial services job market in Central Ohio – it also improves their own personal financial success. Ohio State's financial planning track has been registered with the national CFP® Board of Standards for over 20 years and provides a curriculum that meets the educational requirements for the CFP® Certification Examination.

Our faculty are nationally recognized experts in economics and household finance. Of the twelve faculty members and lecturers, seven hold a Ph.D., four are CFP® professionals, and two are J.D.s. The financial planning program at Ohio State is housed in beautiful Campbell Hall in the heart of campus, right across Mirror Lake, the RPAC sports center, the Thompson Library, and many campus eateries.
