Financial Planning Academy at the University of Missouri
The Department of Personal Financial Planning is nationally and internationally recognized.
The department offers several Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) Board-Registered
Programs that prepare students to sit for the CFP® certification examination. Students
have opportunities to intern at leading financial planning firms, participate in peer
financial advising, volunteer to help others in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance
program in our Office for Financial Success, and conduct impactful research with a
purpose.
Missouri Campus
The University of Missouri (MU), fondly referred to as Mizzou, was founded in 1839
in Columbia as the first public university west of the Mississippi River. Today, with
an enrollment of more than 30,000 students, Mizzou has more than 300 degree programs,
and is one of only six public universities nationwide that can claim a medical school,
veterinary medicine college, and law school on the same campus.
