University of Missouri
The Department of Personal Financial Planning is nationally and internationally recognized. The department offers eight Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) Board-Registered Programs that prepare students to sit for the CFP® certification examination. Students have opportunities to intern at leading financial planning firms, participate in peer financial advising, volunteer to help others in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program in our Office for Financial Success, and conduct impactful research with a purpose.
The University of Missouri (MU) Center for Economic and Financial Management is a collaboration between the Trulaske College of Business Management Department and MU Extension to serve students, financial and helping professionals, and communities. The Center's applied work involves delivering research-based education and support that connects personal finance to health, educational access, and economic development.
Missouri Campus
The University of Missouri (MU), fondly referred to as Mizzou, was founded in 1839 in Columbia as the first public university west of the Mississippi River. Today, with an enrollment of more than 30,000 students, Mizzou has more than 300 degree programs, and is one of only six public universities nationwide that can claim a medical school, veterinary medicine college, and law school on the same campus.
