Beibei Ren, Ph.D.

Biography

Dr. Beibei (Helen) Ren is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering and holds the Larry and Nancy McVay Endowed Professor in Engineering at Texas Tech University. Her research interests are in the area of control theory, optimization, and their applications to mechatronics, robotics, renewable energy, microgrids, and smart grids. She received TechConnect National Innovation Award in 2017, TTU Mechanical Engineering Department Research Award in 2017 and TTU National Wind Institute Faculty Innovation Award in 2020. She serves(d) as Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, IEEE Access, IEEE Control Systems Society Conference Editorial Board. She is a senior member of IEEE and a member of ASME.
