Biography
Dr. Jahan Rasty is a professor of mechanical engineering at Texas Tech University. His research focuses on materials, manufacturing, failure analysis, and metallurgy among other topics. In addition to working as a full-time professor, Dr. Rasty also works as a real-world Forensic Engineer, performing engineering analysis for local and national corporations in the area of mechanical design and failure investigation. With this expertise, Dr. Rasty has helped develop many courses at TTU in the field of forensic engineering as well as the graduate certificate program in Applied Forensic Engineering.
