Paul Egan, Ph.D.

Biography
Dr. Paul Egan is a tenure-track assistant professor of mechanical engineering at Texas Tech University and leads the Medicine, Mechanics, and Manufacturing (M3D) Design Lab. The lab's research investigates engineering design methods for automation, cognition, and user-centered design with a focus on 3D printing for biomedical applications in tissue engineering, personalized nutrition, and medical device technologies. Dr. Egan promotes design and entrepreneurship at the University by helping organize the Mechanical Engineering Design Expo, advising medical Innovation projects, and commercializing technologies through patenting and partnerships.
