Fort Martin Scott's History
Time has left the history of Fort Martin Scott a mixture of fact and legend. The frontier was wild, rough and folks had to be ready for anything. Men and women pioneers, Native Americans, soldiers, and adventurers carved out this frontier and left this history for future generations to learn and enjoy!
Marvin F. Schroeder has been a living history interpreter since early 1970s, covering early Americana and Texas history. For 27 years, he has worked for the Nimitz Museum (formerly part of Texas Parks and Wildlife). Schroeder organized and produced the Living History Program while also working on movies as a technical adviser, weapons master and set decorator.
