Two Distinct Program Tracks

Online Advanced Standing Program:

• Ideal for recent undergraduate social work graduates.
• Complete the MSW degree in just one calendar year.
• Begin your course of study in a summer session.

Online Standard Program:

• Designed for applicants with undergraduate degrees in other disciplines.
• Complete the MSW degree in two years.
• Course of study begins in a fall semester (available starting fall 2025).

Field Placement Experience

As a crucial component of our online master of social work degree program, all students are required to complete an approved field placement. This hands-on experience allows you to:

Additionally, you do not need to reside in Texas to enroll in the MSW program. Your practicum hours can be completed at an agency in your current location and potentially even at your place of employment. This flexibility enables you to gain the necessary field experience without relocating, making the program accessible regardless of your geographic location.
