Red Raider Orientation

For Guests

Red Raider Orientation

Selecting a Red Raider Orientation (RRO) session is an important step as your student finalizes their plans to become a Red Raider! All new undergraduate students are required to complete a session. At RRO, they'll meet other new students, get advice from current students, learn Texas Tech traditions, and have fun. Most importantly, your student will meet with their academic advisor and register for courses!

We'd like to invite you to attend RRO as a guest with your student! While it's not mandatory that parents attend, we highly encourage each student to have at least one guest attend with them.

RRO Guest Information

Attending the parent and family sessions during RRO will help you learn how to support your student while in college, gain insight about campus services, and discover how to become involved. You'll also have an opportunity to meet faculty, administrators, staff and current students. Most of the time you'll be with your student, but there are a few special breakout sessions just for family members.

To attend RRO with your student, your student should register you as a guest when they register for their RRO session. Guests can be updated or added up to two business days prior to your student's RRO session.

Adding Guests: To add guests to your student's RRO reservation, have them log in to the registration system, locate the guest tab, and click the green plus sign to enter guest(s) information in the pop-up window.

Guest fees are due upfront when guests are added to student's registration.

Included in Guest Fees: Materials, dinner on Day 1 (summer/fall sessions), and parking. Overnight accommodations are not provided for guests.
