The following is important information regarding Housing, Hospitality, and Transportation and Parking Services on campus. It also includes helpful information and resources for visiting Lubbock and how to address mail and packages you plan to send your student in the Residence Halls.

Housing and Hospitality

University Student Housing
University Student Housing provides the best and most convenient accommodations at a reasonable cost for students living on campus. Residence halls offer Learning Communities, Residential Tutoring, Complex Council, Residence Halls Association (RHA), and many other opportunities for student involvement.

For specific information about move in, icluding the Move-in Timeslot program, what to bring and what not to bring, etc., visit the Move-in/Move-out page. Cllick the "Fall Move-in" tab once you get there.

Hospitality Services
Hospitality Services features 22 dining locations with more than 50 dining options across Texas Tech University. Various Dining Plans are available to students and there are numerous student employment opportunities.

  • Dining Bucks​
    • Students will use their Raider ID card to spend Dining Bucks
    • Can change Dining Plan options through the 20th class day of each semester​
    • Dining Bucks rollover each semester while living on campus. If moving off campus, 70% of unused Dining Bucks will roll to a Commuter Dining Plan.​
    • Students can add & view Dining Bucks at any time – Manage Dining Bucks at hospitality.ttu.edu 

Transportation and Parking

Transportation & Parking Services manages and maintains parking areas on the Texas Tech campus. All vehicles parking on the Texas Tech campus Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. must have a permit. Students can manage their permits, registered vehicles, and citations through My Parking Account, available at www.parking.ttu.edu.

General visitor parking information (NOT for Gameday parking - some lots not available Friday nights prior to football games, during football and basketball games, etc.)

Things to do in Lubbock

Visiting Texas Tech

There are lots of events and activities that take place on campus all year long. You can explore campus by walking around to see the Public Art Collection or visit the Museum of Texas Tech University and National Ranching Heritage Center to see various exhibits. Additionally, you can enjoy performances and lectures through the Presidential Lecture Series and a variety of performances throughout the year from the Texas Tech School of Music and the Texas Tech School of Theatre and Dance.
