Learn how to use Pivot to search for funding opportunities, create customized alerts and identify potential collaborators. This session is designed for faculty and staff who are new to the platform or want a refresher.

Fall 2026 Writing Group — Sydney

A supportive, weekly writing group led by Sydney Jones that provides participants with dedicated writing time, peer accountability and guidance as they develop research proposals and other scholarly materials.

• Virtual meetings once a week for 10 weeks (Sept. 15 – Nov. 17)
• 2.5-hour sessions designed for focus and accountability:
  • 15 min check-in to share goals
  • 2 hours of focused writing
  • 15 min wrap-up to reflect on progress
• Open to faculty at all levels and disciplines

A collaborative weekly writing group led by Nishita that offers dedicated time, accountability and feedback to help participants make consistent progress on research proposals and scholarly projects.

Luncheon

Research Admin Collaborative PD Luncheon

This luncheon will provide an opportunity for research support professionals to reflect on how relationships influence their work, learn from colleagues who have successfully developed partnerships across departments and colleges, and identify practical strategies for strengthening connections with faculty and other research support units. Lunch will be provided.

Research Slam — Halloween

A Halloween-themed research showcase featuring fast-paced and engaging presentations from Texas Tech researchers. Participants will share their work in an accessible format while connecting with colleagues from across the university.
