Who is a Sponsored Student?
A "sponsored graduate student" is a student whose tuition and fees are paid for, in whole or in part, by a third-party organization like a corporation, government agency, or foundation, essentially meaning their education is funded by a sponsor instead of solely by themselves; this sponsor is then billed directly for the student's costs at the university.
