Ready to apply

  • Submit unofficial transcripts and test scores for evaluation. Official documents are required only after acceptance to the Texas Tech Graduate School.
  • Most Texas Tech graduate programs require supplemental materials, such as a statement of purpose, recommendations, or a portfolio. These are reviewed by the academic department. Please check your program’s homepage and the "Program Materials" section of the application for specific requirements.
  • While you will be able to add to certain segments on the application (e.g. test scores) post submission, you will not be able to make revisions once the application has been submitted.
  • Submitting inaccurate or incomplete information may delay the admissions process. Texas Tech University acknowledges the role of generative AI tools, such as ChatGPT; however, all application materials must reflect the applicant’s original work. AI may assist but must not replace the applicant’s ideas or voice. All applicants are expected to adhere to the University's academic integrity standards.

  • If you have been admitted to TTU and are outside the US.

You cannot apply for a new or renewed visa in the US. Instead, you must visit a US embassy in your home country (recommended) or a third country to apply.
