Texas Tech University

TTU LSAMP Scholars

The TTU LSAMP Scholars program is designed to help support underrepresented students in STEM in the following ways:

  1. Academic advising and support (including tutoring for upper level courses)
  2. Mentoring (including peer-to-peer and faculty-to-student)
  3. STEM-focused materials such as textbooks, access to computers or other technology
  4. Social and peer support to promote a sense of community and belonging

Each year, a new set of scholars is admitted to the LSAMP Scholars program. Students spend the year building community and utilizing the support of our LSAMP Tutors and LSAMP Mentors, who began as LSAMP Scholars at either Texas Tech, or transferred to TTU from another one of the BAT-LSAMP Alliance institutions. Students who are part of the LSAMP Scholars Program, along with all STEM Students at TTU, have access to use the TTU Undergraduate STEM Center. Scholars additionally engage in undergraduate research lead by faculty mentors. For more information about our Scholars, see their information below.
