Dr. Zeeshan Ahmad is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Texas Tech University. Before joining Texas Tech, Dr. Ahmad worked as a postdoctoral scholar at the University of Chicago. He received his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and his B.Tech. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. 

Dr. Ahmad's research focuses on the design and optimization of functional materials and processes for lithium-ion batteries, and solar photovoltaics. The primary goal of his research is to advance the adoption of renewable energy technologies for transportation and grid. His lab uses a combination of theory, computation, and experiments to achieve these goals.
