Building Policies
Fan Conduct
United Supermarkets Arena intends to provide all guests with a safe, comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere. Consequently, the arena management does not intend to allow a pleasant experience to be disrupted or ruined by a few unruly guests. Therefore, we have established the following rules for expected guest conduct:
- Guests wearing obscene or indecent clothing are not allowed on arena property.
- Guests using foul or abusive language or gestures will be subject to ejection from the arena.
- Guests appearing intoxicated will be denied entry or ejected from the arena.
- Guests interfering with the progress of the event or going onto the playing surface or stage will be ejected from the arena and arrested.
- Guests are not allowed on the court at any time during sporting events. Any fan entering the court or interrupting play in any manner can be arrested for trespassing and will be subject to the maximum fine permitted by law.
- Guests interfering with other guests' ability to enjoy the event will be subject to ejection.
To enforce these policies, United Supermarkets Arena event staff will be located throughout the arena. Guests who are not here to enjoy the event or cannot comply with these rules will be subject to ejection from the facility.
Food Policies
A selection of food and beverage items is available for purchase at the arena concession stands as dictated by the event producer. Spectra is the exclusive food and beverage provider for United Supermarkets Arena. No outside food or drink is permitted inside the arena.
Inspection Policy
All guests are subject to visual inspection of person, parcels, bags, containers and clothing capable of carrying prohibited items. Patrons refusing inspection will be denied entry into the United Supermarkets Arena. Effective 2016, TTU Athletic events has instituted a new bag policy for TTU athletic events. Please see the Clear Bag Policy below for the size and type of bags allowed for TTU Athletics events.
Prohibited Items
The following are prohibited inside United Supermarkets Arena: laser pointers/laser pens, weapons of any kind (knives, guns*, tazers, mace, chains, etc.), glass containers or cans of any kind, large purses or backpacks, wrapped gifts, noise makers, fireworks, outside food and beverage, use of tobacco products of any kind (including electronic & vapor cigarettes), large signs, signs with glitter, flags, sticks (including selfie sticks), poles & large banners, animals other than service animals, beach balls, helium balloons, the use of skate shoes, and any item or action deemed to threaten public safety. Effective 2016, TTU Athletic events has instituted a new bag policy for TTU athletic events. Please see the Clear Bag Policy below for the size and type of bags allowed for TTU Athletics events.
Additional items may be prohibited for a particular event at the event producer's discretion; to learn about additional event-specific items, please contact the arena management office at 806-742-7362.
All patrons and handbags are subject to visual inspection prior to admission to the arena. Large purses and backpacks will not be allowed, and all small bags will be inspected. Patrons who refuse to allow such inspections will be denied entry to the arena. Prohibited items must either be returned to the owner's vehicle or discarded; the arena will not provide a storage area for these items. Violators carrying any of the prohibited items will be subject to ejection from the facility.
*United Supermarkets Arena is a concealed handgun license (CHL) exclusionary zone (guns free zone) for athletic and other designated events. Concealed carry is also prohibited at events and in arena facilities at which alcohol is sold or served. Guests may contact the arena management office at 806-742-7362 for information pertaining to which events do and do not permit licensed carry of concealed handguns, pursuant to SB 11, the Campus Carry law effective August 1, 2016. Open carry of handguns is prohibited at all times.
Clear Bag Policy
The Clear Bag Policy is in effect for most events, including Texas Tech Athletic Events, TTU Commencement, concerts & other ticketed events as designated by the event's producer.
Guests will be able to carry the following style and size bag, package or container into the venue:
- Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12."
- One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).
- Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the venue with one of the clear plastic bags.
- An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection.
Prohibited bags include, but are not limited to: purses larger than a clutch bag, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, luggage of any kind, non-approved seat cushions or seatbacks *, computer bags, diaper bags, binocular cases, and camera bags. Re-entry
Re-entry is strictly prohibited during all events held at United Supermarkets Arena.
Scalping
The reselling of United Supermarkets Arena admission tickets on property is strictly prohibited. Guests engaged in such activity may be escorted off premises without any liability to United Supermarkets Arena.
Smoking Policy
For the health and comfort of others, smoking is not permitted at United Supermarkets Arena, and there is no smoking area inside nor outside the venue. Electronic and vapor cigarette use is also prohibited inside the venue. Guests who fail to comply with this policy will be subject to ejection from the arena.
Soliciting
No loitering, trespassing, soliciting/peddling, resale of tickets, merchandise or apparel is allowed on arena property. Any exception to this policy must be approved, in advance, by United Supermarkets Arena and Texas Tech University.
