Dr. Alder earned her PhD in Multicultural Women's and Gender Studies from Texas' Woman's University. She was appointed to United Nations Representative of the US Section
of Women's International League for Peace and Freedom. Her research interests include:transnational feminisms; womanist and indigenous epistemologies; science fiction and
fantasy literature; and postcolonial literature.
