Tech Transfer Acceleration Program

In the three years that the staff of the Tech Transfer Acceleration Program, comprised of Mary Norman, Sarah Dingus, Lori Jones and Brittany Curtis has worked together, relationships with the Office of Admissions, University Advising, Community College Transfer Relations, University Housing, and South Plains College have strengthened tremendously. This team is continuously trying to find new ways to partner with and collaborate with other areas on and off campus for the betterment of their students. Opening the lines of communication between their office and other offices has allowed students the ability to transfer into Texas Tech without complication. Furthermore, this team has gone up and above the call of duty by taking food to a student's dorm when he didn't have enough money for food, walking students to the Counseling Center to meet with a counselor, and even sitting with students when they have to visit the emergency room because of life threatening situations. They understand that personal connections are one of the strongest elements for student retention. They work hard to understand their students and to help make their first year of college a successful experience.
