During Sara Dennis' 6 years with her department, she has worked tirelessly to implement a comprehensive and rigorous undergraduate advising system.  Student success is tied closely with academic advising, and Sara provides exceptional support to students in the program.  She quickly discerns individual needs and effectively provides key information, recommendations, or direction.  Not only does she help students, she teaches them how to  help themselves by ensuring they have access to the resources they need to make informed decisions about their academic career. This is evident by this quote from an undergraduate student in the department: “As I graduate this upcoming year, I reflect and I'm grateful for Sara's immense contribution to my collegiate experience. I genuinely believe that had Sara not been so personable and encouraging, especially the first time we met, I may not have found my major or the subsequent career I'd like to pursue. I sincerely appreciate all she does as an advisor, from constantly notifying us of potential internship experiences or relevant clubs and organizations at Tech, to creating an environment in her advising appointments where I feel valued and heard.”
