Allison is responsible for managing all events when K through 12 schools from across the region visit the Texas Tech campus. She excels at ensuring these students have meaningful experiences that spark their curiosity, enhance their ideas about future college attendance, and complement the concepts of their K through12 educators. One of Allison's notable accomplishments was organizing the inaugural Family STEM Night. During this event, Allison coordinated a team of 175 volunteers and engaged with 50 vendors, partners, and departments to create an evening filled with STEM exploration. With over 500 community members in attendance during this four-hour event, people across the South Plains are still talking about Family STEM Night and area schools have asked for this to be an annual event. Allison is collaborating with Student Disability Services to bring a group of K through 12 students to Texas Tech so they can experience firsthand what it's like to be a student with accessibility issues on campus. Allison wants to bring science and accessibility to neurodiverse students and help them understand that they can have a place to belong at TTU and beyond. Allison has done much for our office, Texas Tech, and the Lubbock surrounding community children. She is showcasing to all that, "From Here, it's Possible," and we are all the better for it.
