Director
Institutional Advancement

Chamonix's ability to instinctively discern and evaluate ideas, paired with her enthusiastic and hardworking demeanor, has proven beneficial to Institutional Advancement and Texas Tech University Systems. Originally hired as a coordinator, Chamonix has been promoted twice due to continually evolving her role and her skills to increase productivity and efficiency. Chamonix launched a new board portal software that eliminated the need to print hardcopy books for board meetings, and that allowed ease of use for staff and board members. The board portal saw an 85% adoption rate within the first three months of use. She coordinated the foundation's charitable registration process for 23 states so that Texas Tech can receive donations from donors in various states. She overhauled the orientation process for new Texas Tech Foundation directors. She also implemented a mentorship program by pairing new board members with current board members so they have a peer to connect with. She has led improved engagement of board members' spouses by hosting tours, dinners, and other events for them specifically. Chamonix serves on two national boards – the Association of Governing Boards Council of Board Professionals and the Association of Governing Boards Professional Leadership Group – bringing knowledge and recognition to Texas Tech. She has been nominated as a Values Hero for both Exemplary Service and People First values. She is quick to acknowledge and respond to the needs of others and inspires people to grow and learn. She exemplifies excellence in her daily life and constantly exceeds expectations. For all this and more, people respect her and are motivated to follow in her footsteps.
