Accreditation
The Ph.D. Program has been accredited continuously since 1981 by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education. The current accreditation period is effective through June 30, 2010. The MFT Master’s Program is not accredited. The accredited Ph.D. program includes research and additional clinical training toward a total of 1000 hours (half relational). The post-master’s hours can be counted toward full licensure in Texas. The Master’s degree is designed to meet the academic and practicum requirements for the Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate in the State of Texas.
