Education Services

The Education Services Team is involved in arranging, designing, and supporting training for various software, lecture capture, online training, and online resources such as SharePoint sites and Wikis.

  • Site Licensed Software is available for TTU students, faculty, and staff.
  • Mediasite is a lecture capture system simultaneously records a presenter and their lecture media for live streaming or asynchronous playback.
  • ShortCourses at the ATLC are non-credit, instructor-led, hands-on courses to help TTU students, faculty, and staff improve their computer skills. These courses are available each semester.
  • SharePoint is a multi-purpose web platform used for document and file management, group collaboration, and workflow management. Technology Support provides training and support to enable customers to establish and maintain SharePoint sites.
  • Udemy Online Training includes self-paced, interactive, online courses. In order to access these courses, you will need to have an eRaider account.
  • REDCap is a web application for building and managing online surveys is available to researchers, faculty, and staff here at Texas Tech.

The Educational Events & Outreach component of Education Services provides educational outreach for the TTU and Lubbock community. This group provides customized presentations for a wide range of groups, student, faculty, staff, and public, on a wide range of topics related to information technology and cyber security. The Educational Events & Outreach team also assists with the creation of educational brochures, bulletins, and other materials for distribution across a wide range of topics.

Enterprise Services / Systems Administration

Reserved Maintenance Window - The Technology Support Systems Team conducts routine maintenance and updates on the services they manage each Friday morning, from 3:00 to 7:00 AM. During this time period those services may be intermittently unavailable/inaccessible. If you experience problems with any of these services outside this maintenance period, please contact IT Help Central at 806-742-4357 (HELP).

  • Application Virtualization with Citrix enables you to run selected software applications from anywhere you have an Internet connection without having to install the software.
  • Blackboard - learning management system
  • Events@TexasTech - online calendar system
  • Lyris List Manager - email marketing application
