Welcome to the Burkhart Center Autism Resources section of our website. We want to share resources that include an array of information about autism, evidence-based practice in autism, navigating the special education process, and more.

This area contains links to many other sources of information, as well as our downloadable local resource guide. You can use the guide to find out about supports and opportunities in this area, including medical providers, specialists, social programming, community events, and family support resources. You will find information about services for individuals of all ages and across all life areas.

This area constantly evolves, so check back often. If you know of an informational resource, provider, or service that we should know about or include (or you are a service provider), please let us know and we'll be happy to investigate further and add relevant information and resources to this list.

Supplemental Special Education Services (SSES) Program

The Supplemental Special Education Services (SSES) program is a Texas Education Agency project that awards $1,500 accounts to families of students with disabilities that can be used to purchase educational goods and services for their student. Go to sses.tea.texas.gov for more information and to apply.

State Autism Resources
