Career Services
From your first semester to your first full-time role, the Engineering Opportunities Center helps you prepare for what comes next.
We know one of your primary reasons for attending college is to get a great job. Career Services in the Engineering Opportunities Center can help you start preparing on day one.
Through Hire Red Raiders, students can apply for jobs, register for events, book appointments, and find tips and advice. You can also attend workshops covering everything from resume building to salary negotiation, meet with Peer Career Advisors for resume critiques and cover letter help, and schedule appointments with career services staff for mock interviews or individual job search consultations.
Career services events, including Job Fair, company workshops, and information sessions, give you the chance to put those skills into practice and connect with employers ranging from start-ups to multinational companies.
Engineering Events
College-wide events bring students together to celebrate, network, prepare for the semester, and build connections across engineering.
Launch Your Future in Engineering
Launch Your Future in Engineering helps incoming students prepare for their first semester in TTU Engineering with reminders from Red Raider Orientation, success tips, and a final opportunity to ask questions before classes begin.
Kick-Off & Engineers Week
Engineering Kick-Off introduces students to engineering student organizations, campus resources, and industry partners near the beginning of the fall semester. Engineers Week, or E-Week, is a week-long celebration of engineering held each February.
Job Fair
Job Fair is one of the highlights of the semester. Hundreds of companies attend, and the EOC hosts workshops, critiques, and appointments to help students prepare.
Graduation Celebrations
Order of the Engineer, Honors Convocation, and the Graduation Reception help celebrate students as they transition from college to the workforce. These events recognize professional responsibility, academic success, and the accomplishments of engineering graduates.
HackWesTX
HackWesTX is an annual student-run hackathon at Texas Tech University hosted by the Google Developer Student Club. Students work collaboratively to build a project prototype and make a positive impact in the community.

Scholarships
WCOE scholarships are made possible through dedicated alumni and industry partners. The award pool includes many individual scholarships, each with its own qualifications and requirements.
Current Students
Current students must complete the continuing student scholarship application each year by February 1. The application opens annually in October.
Scholarships are typically awarded based on merit, financial need as determined by FAFSA, and individual scholarship requirements.
New Students
New first-year and transfer students can apply for scholarships through Common App or Apply Texas.
The WCOE Dean's Office offers scholarships designated for new students. Awards are competitive, based on holistic review, and may range from $2,000 to $10,000.

Join an Engineering Student Organization
Student organizations provide hands-on experience, national and international competition opportunities, a close-knit community of like-minded students, leadership development, industry connections, and so much more. The college houses approximately 40 organizations based on majors, specific interests, diversity, honors, and service.
