Inaugural Faculty Fellow Appointed
Worldwide eLearning recently appointed Dr. Stephanie J. Jones as its inaugural eLearning Faculty Fellow, a position intended to provide the candidate with an opportunity to cultivate a research project, and serve as an advocate for online and distance education at Texas Tech.

Professor Linda Enghagen (University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Isenberg School of Management) will explore ten of the most common myths and misconceptions about copyright and fair use.
Texas Tech Achieves Tier One Carnegie Designation
Texas Tech has achieved a Tier One Carnegie designation! Of the 115 universities listed in the Highest Research Activity category, Texas Tech is one of 81 public institutions in the top tier.
Online Special Education Master's Program Ranked 10th in Nation
Best Choice Schools ranked Texas Tech University 10th in the nation for its online master's degree in special education. Texas Tech is one of four Texas schools to make the list. West Virginia University (13th) was the only other Big 12 Conference school in the top 30.

Blackboard Rubric Tool Video
Are you wondering how to use the Blackboard Rubric Tool, but you missed the face-to-face training? Watch the recorded Blackboard Rubric Tool training on the eLearning Blackboard Support website, which includes the handout for the training. The Blackboard Rubric Tool provides a consistent method for grading student work by organizing specific assessment criteria and determining point values based on the level of performance for each criterion. Some benefits of using the built-in rubric include: clear performance expectations, consistent grading, and structured feedback.

TTU at Collin Hires New Director and Advisor
Texas Tech University's newest regional teaching site, Texas Tech University at Collin Higher Education Center, has hired two new staff members and is offering its first course in the Dallas/Fort Worth area during the spring 2016 semester.
Chancellor Visits TTU at Fredericksburg
