eLearning Grad Student Wins Poster Competition
Worldwide eLearning Research Assistant Gail Alleyne Bayne won first place in the "Exploring, Learning, & Teaching I" category in the Graduate Student Research Poster Competition. Her poster was based on her research on mental fatigue among university students enrolled in online courses.
Osher Lifelong Learning Institute Names New Director
Shelby Crews was recently named the director for Texas Tech University's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. She'll work with volunteers to design educational programs for adults ages 50 and older in the South Plains, Fredericksburg, Junction and Marble Falls.
Human Sciences Staffer Recognized for Service to Distance Students
The TTU College of Human Sciences' GPIDEA Campus Coordinator, Taylor Wright, received a "Great IDEA Award" at the Great Plains IDEA Spring Meeting for her outstanding service to distance learning students recently.

TTUISD Nationally Ranked for Online High School Program
Texas Tech University Independent School District (TTUISD) was ranked as one of the best online high school programs in the nation by Best College Reviews. While 25 schools were recognized, TTUISD was ranked No. 4 overall and was the highest ranked program in Texas.

Turning Point Cloud
Texas Tech is moving to the Turning Point Cloud, a new version of the Turning Technologies clicker software and Responseware app. This will be available in Fall 2016 and a license will be required for instructors and students that use the devices.

Import and Export Blackboard Tests
Instructors occasionally ask us how to copy a Blackboard test from one course to another, or how to share a test with a colleague who is teaching the same course.
